Description

This one-day conference aims to explore diverse designs of practice-based doctoral research and to discuss different ways of disseminating the results to achieve maximum impact. The event is organised to provide opportunities to network and share professional education doctorate practices across a diverse range of topics and contexts. Through discussions we will collaboratively generate a rich and complex terrain of issues, ideas and considerations for development in research practices designed for, and by, educational professionals.

The conference will open with a Keynote presented by Dr. Julia Flutter (Ripples on the surface or making a splash: What happens when educational research goes out into the big, wide world?). This will be followed by EdD Research Community Symposia, paper and poster presentations, and roundtable discussions which have been grouped to maximise conversations within and across:

  • Demonstrating the impact of research on professional practice
  • Innovating strategies for documenting and communicating findings
  • Developing portfolio models of research on professional practice

The day has been organised to provide time for discussion of themes emerging throughout the day and to plan future dissemination and events. Lunch and teatime refreshments will be provided.

More information on the programme for the day will be posted on the EdD website:
